Funeral services for Sean Mikel Fabricius of Burlington were held Feb. 8 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Burlington. Sean, 26, died Feb. 1 in Burlington.
Sean was born Feb. 26, 1987, in Cody, the son of Dale Edward and Selena Williams Fabricius. He received his education in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 2005. He attended the School of Mines in Rapid City, S.D. on a football scholarship for one year and then transferred to Northwest College.
Sean was a natural athlete and excelled in the sports he pursued. He played football and basketball and participated in track and wrestling. He also loved snowboarding, waterskiing, camping, fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities. He was an Eagle Scout.
During high school and right after college, he worked for his uncle, Rex Williams, and learned to build houses. He continued to build and worked for Groathouse Construction in Wyoming and TIC in North Dakota. He enjoyed working for and with George Nicholson Construction.
Sean worked hard and played hard. He loved fun times and always had a smile.
Sean is survived by his parents Selena and Dale Fabricius; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jeremy and Imy Fabricius and Jacob Fabricius, and his sister and brother-in-law, Blaise and Michelle Allen.
Burial was in the Burlington Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Sean’s name at Security State Bank, Box 531, Basin, WY 82410. A beneficiary for the proceeds will be determined at a later date.
