Next week is homecoming week at Greybull High School.

The festivities will kick off Monday afternoon when students begin decorating the halls in designated class colors and conclude with the homecoming dance in the GMS Gym Saturday at 9 p.m. This year’s theme is “Let’s Get Tropical.”

Designated class colors are: Freshmen, purple; sophomores orange, juniors red and seniors pink. The halls of GHS will be colorful Tuesday when students wear the designated colors.

Wednesday is “Dress for Success Day.”

Thursday will be busy. It is designated as “Beat the Heat Day.” Students are reminded that even if they are trying to “beat the heat,” the GHS dress code applies. The Greybull Booster Club is sponsoring a barbecue at 6:30 p.m. that will be followed by the annual tug-of-war on the football field. Capping the day will be the traditional burning of the G.

Blue and Gold Day Friday will include the homecoming parade at 12:15 p.m.; volleyball matches with Shoshoni at 2, 3 and 4 p.m., and the football game versus Big Piney at 7.

Homecoming royalty will be announced and crowned during halftime.
