GHS yearbook judged second best in 2A

Greybull High School’s 2013-14 yearbook, the Paintbrush, earned runner-up honors in the 2A division at the Wyoming High School Student Press Association convention held Monday in Casper.

The Paintbrush finished just one point behind the winning entry, the Bulldog which was published by the students at Sundance High School. The Bulldog earned 901 points, the Paintbrush 900. Each won Golden Pony awards, the highest award possible and given only to those scoring between 850 and 1,000 points.

Several GHS students also earned individual awards.

Phoenix Butler won two, taking first in division page layout and feature layout. Carly Mosegard, in clubs layout, and Madi Kraft, in academics layout, also claimed first-place honors, while Annaliese Fitzsimmons earned a second in sports layout and Lynae McBride an honorable mention in clubs layout.

The staff that worked on the 2013-14 Paintbrush included Jenny Hoff, Nevin Brown, Jordan Kraft, Alex Havener, Florina Villegas, Britney Fink, Chai Durfee, Phoenix Butler, Annaliese Fitzsimmons, Madi Kraft, Sydney Eckman, Lynae McBride and Carly Mosegard.
