Memorial services for Ricky Thorpe were held Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Greybull Elks Lodge. Ricky, 64, died Dec. 9 at his home in Greybull.
Rick and his wife, Jackie, moved to Greybull in 1972 when Rick went to work for the Greybull Police Department. During his time in Greybull, Rick was a cop, an EMT, firefighter and owner of Rick’s Towing and Auto Repair for 24 years.
He retired in 2006 and spent his time fishing, camping and four-wheeling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Loraine and Lyle “Goodeye” Moffit, and his father-in-law, Stub Jacobs.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jackie Jacobs Thorpe; two daughters, Tony Wainscott and Tori Robbins; sister Bonnie Botkin; brother, Larry Thorpe; seven grandchildren, Jordan and Hailee Hansen, Jaxon and Maddex Robbins, Mycah, Mitchel and Denton Wainscott, and a “dog that wasn’t his – Cricket.”
