Former Greybull resident Dolores Irene Stengl Leonard 84, died Feb. 21, at her home in Searcy, Ark. A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Dolores was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Worland, the daughter of Harold and Leona Stengl of Greybull. She graduated from Greybull High School in 1949.
She married Bert Leonard, whom she had met in school in Greybull, in 1950. While Bert was in the Air Force, the couple lived for a time in Rome, Italy. After Bert’s discharge, he returned to work for Pacific Power and Light. Bert’s job took them to various places in the Pacific Northwest.
After his retirement, the couple settled in Sun City West, Ariz., and spent summers in Ten Sleep. They moved to Searcy, Ark., a few months ago to be close to family.
Dolores was an active member of the Church of Christ. An avid reader, she was well known at any library close to her home. She was an excellent seamstress.
Dolores is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bert Leonard of Searcy, Ark.; one daughter, Donna Jo Miller of Searcy; one son, Paul Leonard of Roseburg, Ore.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
