A memorial service for Bonnie Lee Reeves House will be held today (Thursday, March 12) at 11 a.m. at Atwood Family Chapel in Greybull. Bonnie, 63, died March 5 at her home in Basin after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 11, 1952, in Dowagiac, Mich., the daughter of Roman and Norma Reeves. The family moved to Wyoming when Bonnie was a young girl. She attended school in Basin through her junior year, and earned her GED several years later.
She married Jerry House in Basin on Nov. 27, 1970. She and Jerry had five children; they were her pride and joy.
Bonnie was a natural artist. Her paintings hang in many homes and offices around the country. Her art will continue to be enjoyed by others for years.
Her grandchildren, Sarah, Todd, Hannah and Weston, were the bright spots in her life. She was the proudest grandma in the world.
Her son, Jeremy; mother and father, Roman and Norma Reeves; brother, Allen; grandparents, Ralph and Mildred Clarke, and her great-grandmother, Judon, preceded her in death.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Jerry of Basin; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jason and Jessica House of Denali Park, Alaska, and Jamey House of Fort Collins, Colo.; twin daughters and two sons-in-law, David and Kristen House Tommerup and Joe and Kristy House Vigil, all of Worland; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Jeannie Reeves of Des Moines, Iowa, Gary and Julie Reeves, Robby Reeves and Steve Reeves, all living in the Phoenix, Ariz., area, and three sisters, Carol Crews, Joyce Ritter and Mildred Talamantz, all living in the Phoenix area.
Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery in Basin. A memorial fund has been established at Bank of Greybull, 601 Greybull Ave., Greybull, WY 82426. Proceeds will go to the South Big Horn Senior Center in Greybull.
