Brendon Laird Memorial Benefit on tap May 30

A tragic automobile accident last June claimed the life of 18-year-old Brendon Laird, who would have graduated with the GHS Class of 2015.

His parents, Mike and Andrea Laird, are planning a memorial benefit on Saturday, May 30, to raise money for scholarships in honor of Brendon’s memory.

The benefit will include a five- or 10-mile horseback ride (rider’s option), with registration at 9 a.m. and ride beginning at 10 a.m. at the McFadden Ranch; and dinner at 6 p.m. at the Greybull Elks Lodge followed by a dance featuring music by the Rewinders ($10 for dinner/dance).

Live and silent auctions will be held during and after dinner.

All proceeds will go directly to the Brendon Laird Memorial Scholarship established at Big Horn Federal. Proceeds will go to Riverside and Greybull high school students who plan to further their education in the vocational field.
