Graveside services for James E. McWilliam of Cody are at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22 at Riverside Cemetery in Cody. James, 90, died May 15 at the West Park Longterm Care Center.
James was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Cody, the only son of James “Scotty” and Mary E. “Molly” Johnston McWilliam. He attended rural schools and graduated from Cody High School in 1942. He married Esther Moller in Billings, Mont. on Nov. 18, 1949. They farmed and ranched on Sage Creek.
He was a lifetime member of the Park County Farm Bureau and served on the Cody Canal Irrigation District board.
His parents and his wife (2007) preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rick and Karyl Smiley of Cody; brothers-in-law and their spouses, Pete and Lois Moller and Fred and Joan Moller; sister-in-law and her husband, Helen and Paul Custer; two grandsons; one granddaughter, and four great-grandchildren.
