Funeral services for Algar Gordon Srygley of Lovell will be Friday, July 31 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel in Burlington. Gordon, 70, died July 25 in Lovell where he was a resident of the New Horizon Care Center.
Gordon was born July 15, 1945, in Basin, the son of Algar William Srygley and Ella Mae Christopherson Snyder. He attended school in Burlington. Gordon worked for local farmers in the Burlington area, at the Holly Sugar factory and for the ditch company.
He married Faith Dewel May 4, 1968; he married Bertha Middaugh in 1978. Both marriages ended in divorce.
Gordon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the National Rifle Association.
He liked working on cars, going on long drives in the country, fishing, hunting and visiting with people. He enjoyed children.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Alger William and Ella Mae, and one sister, Ann Nichols.
He is survived by his brother, Steven W. Srygley Sr. of Terre Haute, Ind.; his sister, Rena Rae Boulter of American Fork, Utah; three nephews and a niece.
Burial will be in the Burlington Cemetery.
