Graveside services for Glenda G. Harshbarger Alberts will be Sunday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. at the Patriot Cemetery in Basin. Glenda, 47, died at her home in Basin on Aug. 19.
She was born Oct. 1, 1967, in Kalispell, Mont., the daughter of James Victor and Verona Levang Harshbarger. She grew up and received her education in Kalispell.
She married Loren Alberts Aug. 8, 1987. Glenda was a loving, caring and involved wife and mother. She supported her family in everything they chose to do, from 4-H to building a house, and no task was too big or too small. She was soft-spoken but her influence on family, friends and the community was evident.
Glenda loved to learn and share her interests; from painting to soap making, she enjoyed each new challenge and was always willing to share her knowledge. Cooking was one of her many natural talents.
Her father, James Harshbarger, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Loren Alberts of Basin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eric and Desirae Barkan of Chandler, Ariz., and Robert and Chanda Brewer of Basin; one son, Kolter Alberts of Basin; her mother, Verona Levang Harshbarger of El Paso, Texas; her siblings, Debbie and Ed Hancock of Roswell, N.M., Sandy and Mitch Blades, Cliff and Lisa Harshbarger, Holly Harshbarger and Bobby Jackson, all of Kalispell and Dolly and Steve Green of El Paso, Texas.
