Cremation has taken place and no services are planned for Judie Reamer Moore. Judie, 76, died Aug. 31, at the Worland Health Care Center.
Judie was born Feb. 23, 1939, in Peabody, Kan., the daughter of Odessa and Charles Reamer. As a young child the family moved to the Greybull/Basin area where she attended school and later worked as a waitress in a local restaurant.
She married Raymond Alfred Moore on July 15, 1956. They lived the life of ranchers and outfitter guides. She would tell stories of being the camp cook during hunting season in the Thorofare Mountains.
Ray and Judie moved to Thermopolis in 1986 where Judy was employed at Captel for several years. In 1998 Judie took night school classes to earn her GED and was proud when she received her GED diploma at the age of 58.
Judie loved the mountains, cooking, shopping, visiting with people, and watching beautiful Wyoming sunsets. She was an avid bowler, talented sketch artist and enjoyed playing bingo.
Her husband Raymond, her parents and two infant sons preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bill and Penny Lookingbill of Lander and George and Carol Wingate of Kansas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Belinda Moore of Thermopolis and Tom and Candy Moore of Missouri; one brother, Gary Spomer of Greybull; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
