A celebration of the life of Mary Louise Harris will be held Saturday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. at Eagles Aerie 3086 in Basin. Mary, 60, died Sept. 11 at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody.
She was born March 11, 1955, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Don Arthur and Ella Jane “EJ” West Ingersoll. She grew up and received her education in Texas and graduated from Clint High School.
Mary was a CNA and worked in several different nursing homes. In 1994, she moved to Basin to be nearer to her mother. Mary loved animals, was a loving, caring person, and gave generously of herself. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sending care packages to soldiers overseas.
Her parents and two brothers, Mark Ingersoll and Matt Ingersoll, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Harris, of Tucson, Ariz.; her son Christopher Martinez of El Paso, Texas; one brother, Mike Ingersoll of Plummer, Idaho; her aunt Eva Louise Foster of Aurora, Colo.; and one granddaughter.
