June 18, 1922 – Oct. 17, 2015
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned for former Greybull resident Esther Elizabeth King Severance Cover, 93, who died Oct. 17 at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
She was born June 18, 1922, at Emblem, the daughter of Emil and Elizabeth Menzel Werbelow.
She married Ward E. King of Greybull; the couple had two children, Carole Lee King and Gary Ward King. They were later divorced.
She married Lynn Severance; they moved to Sheridan to be closer to her two children. After Lynn’s death, she married Ralph R. “Bud” Cover, who is also deceased.
Esther was a devoted, and much loved, mother and grandmother. She was an avid gardener, great homemaker and loved to read, do crossword puzzles and crochet. She crocheted beautiful afghans for every new grandchild and great-grandchild. Her beautiful smile and her love for life will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her daughter Carole King Wagner; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Lorraine King, all of Sheridan; numerous stepchildren, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Esther’s name can be made to the Sheridan County Fulmer Library or the American Cancer Society.
