A memorial service for Betty Mae Carlton will be held Monday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. at Atwood Family Chapel in Greybull. Betty, 87, died Oct. 31 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Mont.
She was born April 16, 1928, in Seely, the daughter of Clarence Eldon and Mariam Louise Bay Bear. She grew up in Seely and received her education in Seely and Hulett.
Betty married Jack Carlton on April 26, 1952, in Hastings, Neb.
She enjoyed playing bingo, working crossword puzzles, going to the casino, cooking, baking and growing plants. She came from a musical family and enjoyed playing the piano and accordion. Her favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Leota Mae Williams; two sisters, four brothers and a grandson.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jack Carlton of Greybull; son and daughter-in-law, Greg Leon and Stephanie Sipe of Cedaredge, Colo.; daughter and son-in-law, Wayne and Jerilyn Kay Arde Albert of Simla, Colo.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Don and Sally Davies of Basin and Jim and Ellen Etheridge of Berthoud, Colo.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles and Mavis Bear and Larry Bear, both of Worland; six grandchildren and 16 grandchildren.
