A memorial service for Gertrude “Trudy” Mae Davis Geering was held Dec. 28, 2015, at Smith’s Funeral Chapel in Billings. Trudy, 84, died Dec. 21, at her home in Billings.
She was born May 18, 1931, in Burlington, the third child of Joseph Columbus and Lottie Mae Nicholson Davis. Trudy graduated from Burlington High School in 1950 and moved to Basin where she worked at Security State Bank.
Trudy married Tom Geering in Billings in February 1952. The Geerings lived in several different places before they settled in Billings.

After retiring, she moved home to Burlington to take care of her mother.
After the death of her mother, Trudy moved back to Billings to be close to her children.
Trudy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed many years as a member of the choir at St. Pats, costuming at the Billings Studio Theatre, volunteering at the Alberta Bair Theater, family dinners and the card club.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marjorie.
She is survived by her seven children, Marie Downer, David Geering, Teresa Pirtz, Kathy Spence, Jane Geering, Mark Geering and Anne Dukleth; her siblings, Louise Paumer in California, Norma Rose and Donna Cook, both of Burlington, Stanley Davis in Utah, Daniel Davis of Burlington; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
