A memorial graveside service for Leonard Glen “Bud” Gullion will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17 in the Penrose Cemetery, Big Horn County, with Reverend George Pasek officiating. Burial will follow the service.

Bud, 81, died at his home in Basin on Wednesday, March 9.

He was born on June 7, 1934, in Broadwater, Neb., to Jerry M. and Anna Bessie (Smith) Gullion. He received his schooling in Byron.

He met and married Estelle Hulsey on May 30, 1990, in Basin.

Bud enjoyed ranching, camping, hunting, and gardening, but his greatest passion was sheep herding and cattle herding. Bud was a very loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed being around his grandchildren. Bud was also a very giving man and would help anyone with anything.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Steve Gullion, Virgil Gullion, Merle Gullion, and Clyde Gullion; and two sisters, Ruby Winters and Pearl Kraft.

Bud is survived by his wife, Estelle Gullion of Basin; his daughter, Barb Archibald of Greybull; his son, Stewart Gullion of New York; his step-daughter, Sheila Robinson of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Atwood Family Funeral Directors assisted the family with the arrangements.
