Funeral services for Sherry Rinderneck of Buffalo will be held Thursday, April 14 at 10 a.m. at Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
Sherrill “Sherry” Pauline Rinderneck was born July 28, 1942, in Gordon, Neb., the daughter of Paul and Dorothy Beutler. She grew up on the family farm, but as a young child suffered from severe asthma and moved to Buffalo where she lived with her Aunt Bessie and Uncle Andy Anderson. She graduated from Johnson County High School in 1959.
After her graduation, she worked at Gatchell’s in downtown Buffalo until she moved to Casper and attended Hall’s House of Beauty to train as a beautician.
She married Ralph “Red” Culver; the couple lived in Casper, and then Colorado; they had two children, Patrick Paul and Dorothy “Missy” Irene.
Sherry and Red divorced and Sherry moved back to Buffalo where she met Keith Rinderneck, whom she married June 5, 1976. Keith had three daughters (Debbie, Shari Lynn and Karen, who lived with them for a while.
The Rindernecks spent most of their married live in Buffalo, although they lived in Mobridge, S.D., for five years and in Sheridan for one year.
Sherry worked as a beautician in Casper, Buffalo and Nebraska for a total of 53 years. She also did payroll and secretarial work for an oil patch and worked as a CNA in Buffalo and Mobridge for several years.
Sherry was a member of Eastern Star, Rebekahs, Eagles, Job’s Daughters and Sweet Adelines.
She loved playing bridge and cribbage, was a talented musician who led family sing-a-longs around the piano, crocheted and knitted afghans for many of her children, grandchildren and others. Her love for her family and the Buffalo community will be remembered for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Rinderneck; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Dea Culver of Greybull; daughters, Missy Grinnell of Bozeman, Mont., Shari Lynn of Seattle, Wash., and Karen Rinderneck of Graham, Wash; one brother, Larry Beutler of Twin Falls, Idaho; two sisters, Jerri Adams of Mill Creek, Wash., and Mary Whaley of Buffalo; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
