Bob Lynn Franks

May 3, 1959 – May 22, 2016

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Bob Lynn Franks was held May 28 at the Southern Baptist Church in Basin. Bob, 57, passed away May 22 at his home in Greybull.

Bob was born May 3, 1959, in Jasper, Texas, the son of Horace Franklin and Wanda Louise Ozan Franks. He received his schooling in Sandy, Ore. He married Shelly Kay Mayer Aug. 6, 1986, in Burney, Calif.

Bob worked as a roofer in the construction business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and panning for gold. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He touched many lives. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

His parents, Horace and Wanda Franks, his sister, Marie Franks, brother David Franks, and special cousin Douglas Franks preceded Bob in death.

Bob is survived by his wife, Shelly Mayer of Greybull; four daughters and a son-in-law, Robyn and Bonnie Morris of Tulsa, Okla., Crystal Nelson and Shelby Lynn Franks, both of Greybull, and Rachel Warren of Everett, Wash.; two brothers, Dale Franks of Muse, Okla., and Duane Franks of Octavia, Okla.; three sisters, Betty Franks of Oregon, Ileen Gagnon of Galveston, Texas, and Pat Franks of Kirbyville, Texas, and six grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established in Bob‘s name at Big Horn Federal Savings Bank, Box 471, Greybull, WY, 82426-0471. Proceeds will go to help defray Bob’s funeral expenses.
