Funeral services for Richard Dale Crumrine will be held Friday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at Atwood Family Chapel in Greybull. Richard, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Basin on Jan. 26.
He was born Dec. 15, 1956, in Riverton, the son of Kenneth and Marian Crumrine. He attended various schools around the Big Horn Basin and graduated from Thermopolis High School in 1974.
He went on to earn a degree in radio broadcasting in Billings, Mont., and worked in the broadcasting field in Plentywood and Cut Bank, Mont. In 2004, Richard relocated to Basin where he was employed by Wyo-Ben. He worked his way up to foreman at the stucco plant.
Richard was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast; he was both a coach and a mentor in softball and basketball, and a hard-core Miami Dolphins fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother Marian in 1967; his father Kenneth in 2008; and brothers Randy and Donald in 1997 and 2009, respectively.
He is survived by six daughters and their spouses, Coralie Crumrine of Casper, Mike and Julie Crumrine Tevik of Utah, Von and Christina Crumrine Ray of Arizona, Andreca “Sis” Crumrine and her husband Michael Daiber of Idaho, Elizabeth “Buffy” Crumrine and her husband Gary DeShazer of Greybull, Kathryn Crumrine Lisle of Casper; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Margie Crumrine and sister R’Lou Blackmon of Thermopolis; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell.
