Heritage Health Center plans to open satellite clinic in Greybull

A representative of Heritage Health Center in Powell outlined plans to open to open a satellite clinic in Greybull sometime in the spring with members of the town council on Monday night.

CEO Collette Mild said a couple of employees at the Powell location have ties to this community and that she and Mayor Myles Foley have been discussing the opening of a Greybull location for several months.

Heritage has already entered into a lease of what used to be conference room of Foley’s Historic Hotel Greybull, in the 600 block of Greybull Avenue and right next door to the Greybull Standard.

Mild said grant money is fueling the opening of the satellite clinic in Greybull and that before the process got too far along, she wanted to make sure that the idea was supported by other members of the council.

“We don’t want to be here without the community’s backing,” she said.

The clinic would offer primary care such as prevention and wellness exams, sports physicals, DOT exams, chronic disease management and HIV/STD Testing, as well as behavioral care. In some cases, it would be billed on a sliding fee scale, such as for those who are either uninsured or under 200 percent of the federal poverty level.

Heritage Health Center is a nonprofit and partially funded by the federal government.

Mild said they are targeting March of 2019 for the opening of the Greybull location.

A board oversees the operation and she said that it would look to add members from the Greybull area once the clinic is off the ground.

“We’re excited you’re coming to town,” said Foley.
