Feb. 27, 1934 – Oct. 3, 2018
Marjorie Scott Kitzerow, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the age of 84.
She was born Feb. 27, 1934, in Greybull, the daughter of George and Jewel Scott. She was a straight A student at Greybull High School, having received just one “B” in four years. She was very well liked. Marjorie was the 1951 Homecoming Queen and valedictorian of the graduating class of 1952.
Following her graduation from Greybull High School, Marjorie attended the University of Denver for two years.
She married Arthur Kitzerow, also a GHS grad, on March 13, 1954. Their first child, Susan, was born May 13, 1956, and their son, Jeff, on May 28, 1957.
Once both of her children were in school, Marjorie started working for the Los Angeles School District where she dedicated 33 years of service; the last 25 years were spent at Dominguez Elementary School.
Marjorie retired and moved to Sun City, Calif., in 1987. As a testament to her deeply caring nature, she volunteered over 10,000 hours at the Menifee Valley Medical Center over the next 31 years.
Those who were blessed to have known Marjorie know she practiced strength, compassion and kindness on a daily basis. Her memory will live in our hearts forever
