Funeral services for Margo Nina Cannady will be held Friday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. at the Shell Community Hall. Visitation will be today (Thursday, Nov. 1) from 3-6 p.m. at Atwood Family Chapel in Greybull.
Margo, 67, passed away Oct. 27, at her home near Shell.
She was born May 22, 1951, in Greybull, the daughter of Herb and Marguerite Asp. She grew up and received her education in Greybull and graduated from Greybull High School in 1969.
Margo married Larry Nielsen Feb. 14, 1970. The couple had three children, Travis, Terryle and Tiffany.
Margo worked for the Town of Greybull, Big Horn Co-op, Greybull Building Supply and most recently at the Sugar Shack.
Margo married Steve Cannady on Jan. 13, 1989. The couple enjoyed attending the Denver Stock Show, the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas and the Miles City horse sales. She also loved to gamble.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her big smile, and her genuine interest in everyone she came in contact with. She treated everyone with kindness and understanding.
Her parents, her husband Steve and sister Joanne Middleton preceded Margo in death.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Dawn Nielsen of Casper; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brad and Terryle Nielsen Johnson of League City, Texas, and Tiffany Nielsen of Shell; her stepchildren, Cody Cannady and Lawrence and Cammi Cannady Griffin; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Donations in Margo’s memory can be made to the Herb Asp Community Center in Greybull.
Burial will be at Whaley Cemetery. A potluck dinner will be held at the Shell Community Hall immediately following the burial.
