Helmuth Lassle, 85, of Greybull, Wyo., passed away Monday, May 13 at Parkview Manor in Billings, Mont.
Helmuth was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Bowdle, S.D., to John and Martha (Brandner) Lassle. He attended a country school near Bowdle.
Helmuth served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956 and received a Korean War medal for his service. After the Army, he worked as a mechanic at Ford Motors in Newcastle, Wyo. He spent several years working as a groundskeeper for Greybull schools.
Helmuth was knowledgeable in many trades — being a ranch hand, working with sprinkler systems, doing lawn care and helping with snow removal. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing with his friends. His family and friends will miss his friendliness and kind soul.
Helmuth is survived by his sisters Anna White (Newcastle, Wyo.) and Hilda Lassle (Aberdeen, S.D.), numerous nieces and nephews and many friends in Greybull, Wyo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Bertha Schlafman, Esther Aldinger, Lydia Wolf and Otto Lassle as well as a niece, two great nieces and a great-great nephew.
