‘Farmer’ John Laws

Funeral services for “Farmer” John Laws will be held Saturday, Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cody. “Farmer,” 61, died July 23 at his home in Greybull.
He was born April 28, 1951 in Seaham, County Durham, England, the son of William and Jane Laws. He came to the United States approximately 30 year ago.
Farmer worked at General Chemical in Green River until his retirement. Five years ago he moved to Greybull, where he owned the Branding Iron bar.
His interests included fixing things, gardening and farming. He loved being outdoors.
His parents and his first wife, Gail Gamble, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Jean Laws of Greybull; his siblings, Bill and Dorothy Laws, Arthur and Julia Laws, Frank and Jenny Bower and Tom and Sarah Laws, all living in England and Anthony and Janette Meese and Gwen and Don Miller of Green River, and a nephew, William Meese.
