Midway Golf Club signed up 11 new members during its initial outing of the season last weekend.
Fifteen teams were divided into four flights for the 18-hole scramble.

Spring is the beginning of the prescribed burning season in many rural areas of Northwest Wyoming, and Wyoming Department of Transportation officials are advising citizens of issues relating to prescribed burns near state rights-of-way.

The Wyoming Transportation Commission awarded $28.6 million in highway construction contracts last Thursday, including $22.2 million for the first 15 Wyoming road projects to be funded with federal economic stimulus program money.

Big things are happening for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Wyoming.
On the heels of a major victory at the last school board meeting, BBBS is now planning its next family event, a “Pictures with the Easter Bunny” fundraiser set for Sunday, April 12 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Shell Community Hall.

The judges for the 21st annual Greybull Alliance Church Men’s Pie Bake-off contest went with Jerry Patrick’s caramel apple pie, as the best in the adult division. In the 21 years of the contest, this recipe has received the top honor three times. Patrick is from Burlington.
