Although the turnout was not quite as good as hoped for, Annette Chaudet said “it was gratifying to have so many artists participate, and wonderful to see all that creative energy displayed together in one place.”
Twenty-two of the 26 chairs sold with “Hector the Horse,” created by Clara Urbhan of Shell, the top seller for $640. The chair, which received the People’s Choice award, was donated back to the Greybull Library.
Chadet said there were “quite a few absentee bids and a number of the chairs went to them.”
The hors d’oeuvres created by Becky Anderson were deemed the best of them all at the reception and the Anderson’s “Black Cat Books” will receive a one-year membership in the Greybull Area Chamber of Commerce.
Julie Cassard won the dinner for two gift donated by Trapper Creek.
Doris Orwig came to closest to guessing how many pennies were in the jar and received ?????. Orwig’s guess of 1,958, was just 42 shy of the 2,000.
Chaudet said all the receipts and expenses from Sitting Pretty were not tallied as of Sept. 9, so it was “hard to tell at this point,” how much the money would be realized from the benefit.
