Feb. 5, 1922 - Sept. 6, 2009
A memorial graveside service and burial of cremains of Ralph Leroy Letzkus will be held Monday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Shell Cemetery.
Leroy was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Greybull, the son of Ellis Anson and Effel Rose Schenck Letzkus. He lived at the Wyoming Training School in Lander for 40 years and then moved to Basin to live with his sister, Betty Jones.
In 1994 Leroy moved into the Wyoming Pioneer Home in Thermopolis and loved the years he spent there. Leroy then moved to the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell for a short period of time before he passed away.
Leroy was always happy, always had a smile on his face and loved to joke with everyone. Anyone who got to know him loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Effel Letzkus, and three brothers, Harold, Chester and James Letzkus.
He is survived by his sister, Betty Jones of Basin; four nephews; two nieces and two great-nieces.
