Alvin Austin Presley
June 29, 1939 - Dec. 3, 2009
At his request, there will be no services for Alvin Austin Presley, former Basin resident, who died Dec. 3 at his home in Bremerton, Wash.
He was born June 29, 1939, in Richhill, Mo., the son of Charles and Flossie Presley. He attended school in Basin and graduated from Basin High School.
Al retired from the U.S. Army in 1982 and moved to Washington. In 1983 he was employed as a supply manager at Trident Refit Facility in Bangor. He retired from the company in 2002.
Al met Michael “Miki” Jean in 1988 and they married June 1, 1995.
Al enjoyed the Seattle Mariners, the Seahawks, working in the yard and tinkering with everything. He was proud to have served his country and of his involvement in scouting.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Mae, Buddy, Bobby and Dorothy.
He is survived by siblings Sue, Bessie, Bonnie, Delbert, Jolene, Edwin, Lela, Fred and Flossie; his children, Bob, Debby, Sandra, Kerri, Kim, Kristen and Mike; and 15 grandchildren.
