An all-school reunion is being planned for the old Emblem School. It is being held the weekend of June 10 and 11, 2023 to coincide with Greybull’s annual Days of ’49 celebration.

Committee chairwoman Fern (Gernant) McLaughlin reports that plans are in place for several activities for Emblem School alumni to attend during the two-day gathering.

The school will be sponsoring a float in the Days of ’49 parade on Saturday morning.  There will be a trailer showcasing Emblem School banners for alumni and their guests to ride on or walk beside.  Reunion tee shirts have been designed for the reunion and alumni are encouraged to wear them for the parade.

Later in the afternoon on Saturday, there will be a bonfire and hot dog roast near the old school and gymnasium in Emblem starting at 3 p.m.

Invitations have been sent to former Emblem students and published authors Scott Werbelow, Karen Wamhoff Schutte, Jeannie Edwards Cook and Tom Davis to attend and sign and sell their books.

Sunday morning the reunion will conclude with a church service as Zion Lutheran Church in Emblem.

Alumni can register by emailing Fern at rmclaughlin32@gmail.com. There are also registration forms on the Facebook page for the reunion at Emblem School Reunion-Emblem, Wyoming.
