Cremation has taken place and no funeral services are planned for longtime Manderson resident Kenneth D. Saunders, 75, who died Nov. 13 at South Big Horn County Hospital.
Ken was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Interior, S.D., the son of Dewain L. and Margaret Luella Beed Sanders. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Interior. He married Lynn Walker. The couple had one daughter, Shelly. They were later divorced. On Sept. 4, 1980, Ken married Helen Study in Thermopolis.
Ken loved to go fishing for catfish in the Nowood River with his wife. He also liked to work with his computer and he enjoyed his family, especially his grandkids.

Saunders, of Manderson; his daughter and son-in-law, Rick and Shelly Burkhart of Dakota City, Neb., and his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Thea Saunders of Whiteville, N.C.; his stepchildren, Ron and Echo Saunders and Gene Study of Worland; Henry and Renea Study of Newcastle; Sherry Showalter of Pine Haven; Melissa Goldsberry and Travis and Brenda Study of Manderson; his sister and brother-in-law, Fred and Shirley Lantinis of Lander; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
