Nancy Grace Bishop

May 30, 1939 - Sept. 6, 2020

Friends and acquaintances of Nancy Grace Bishop will want to know that she lost her battle with lung cancer, Sept. 6, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Okla., where she had made her home the last several  years. 

Nancy was born May 30, 1939, to J.T. (Bus) & Eloise (Moore) Bishop and grew up in Basin.   She graduated from Basin High School in 1957 and married classmate, Bill Hallcroft.  They shared a life of adventure while raising their three children: Bill Jr., Lori and Tim.  Jobs and careers took them to Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Peru, South America and finally, to Oklahoma.  

Jake E. Rech

April 28, 1953 - Nov. 4, 2020

Jake E. Rech passed away on Nov. 4, 2020, in Tucson, Ariz.  He was born in Basin, Wyo., on April 28, 1953, to Barb and Ed Rech as their first child.  Jake graduated from Greybull High in 1971.  He was Greybull’s first state champion wrestler.  

Mary “Ione” Craft

Feb. 20, 1925 - Nov. 4, 2020

A Rite of Committal graveside service was held for Mary “Ione” Craft on Nov. 4, 2020, in Greybull. Ione passed away the morning of Oct. 27, 2020 at South Big Horn County Hospital. She is now at rest next to her husband of 68 years at the Donald J Ruhl Memorial Cemetery.

Ione was born on Feb. 20, 1925, in Bowman, N.D., to John Edward and Mary Della Schmeltzer. Her father was a farmer and when drought and the Depression took its toll the family relocated to Milbank, S.D. At the age of 15, through a test at school, Ione tested positive for tuberculosis. She spent the next three years in a sanatorium near Custer, S.D., nearly 500 miles from home. Toward the end of her stay her family relocated to Spearfish, S.D. When Ione was able to leave the “San”, as she referred to it, the family moved to Wyoming and she graduated from Worland High School at the age of 21. 

Louis Blohm

May 13, 1936 – Nov. 2, 2020

Louis Blohm, 84, passed away Nov. 2, 2020, at New Horizons Care Center in Lovell. He was born May 13, 1936, in Beulah, N.D., to Fredric Blohm and Mamie Miller Blohm. He and his twin sister, Lois, were born last of 14 children.

After leaving North Dakota the family moved to Saint Xavier, Mont., then settled in Bridger, Mont. Louie attended school in Bridger. He completed the eighth grade and then worked for the railroad in Laurel, Mont., prior to joining the Army, where he served in Germany. 

Rosemarie May Brinkerhoff

Feb. 15, 1928 – Nov. 8, 2020

Rosemarie May Brinkerhoff passed away on Nov. 8, 2020, at New Horizons Care Center in Lovell at the age of 92.

Rosemarie was the seventh of 10 children born to Oliver Cromwell May and Grace Porter May. Rosemarie was born Feb. 15, 1928. She loved calling her nieces, Loretta and Cheryl, and her nephew, Perry, to say happy birthday because they all shared the same birthday.

Kenneth Lewis Marchant

July 20, 1927 – Oct. 28, 2020

Kenneth Lewis Marchant, 93, passed away on Oct. 28, 2020, in Lovell. 

He was born July 20, 1927, to Eva Leone Lewis and Charles Wright Marchant in Cowley. He married his beloved bride, Gaye Alexander, Dec. 24, 1948; they were sealed for time and for all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple June 17, 1966.

James Phillip Haire

April 18, 1936 – Oct. 20, 2020

James Phillip “Creation” Haire of Cowley was called home on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell at the age of 84 years old.

James was born in Greene County, Tenn., on April 18, 1936, to James and Maggie Haire. He grew up with three sisters, Edna, Libby and Joyce.

Rodolfo “Rudy” Martinez, 78, of Hawarden, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020. 

Rudy was born Feb. 20, 1942, in Lovell. He was the son of Francisco and Juana (Velasquez) Martinez. He had seven brothers and three sisters.
