Three businesses in one? Makes perfect sense to me

 In the gatherings we have had over the past four or five years, there were, among the many relatives and friends, three cousins separated in age by perhaps 10 years — all adults now — who you knew, instantly, had to be swinging on branches forming the same family tree. Jenny, Hannah and Caitlin.  Physically there was a resemblance, hair the same color, a self-awareness in all three. If someone who didn’t know them saw them, they could have picked them out of the crowd.

Good neighbors are a blessing - but when good neighbors have good gardens, and are more than willing to share them, it’s a double blessing.   Ate like a queen last week with fresh cucumbers, garden fresh green beans with lots of chopped bacon, simmered for a long time, and a fresh ear of corn, wrapped in a wet paper towel, and cooked in the microwave when everything else was ready - that included cucumbers and onion, icy cold covered with brine.

Goodbye summer; welcome fall.  I know, according to the calendar, Sept. 21 is the official “welcome fall” day. However, prospective athletes will celebrate the appearance of fall starting this week. That’s when aspiring athletes — middle and high school — were notified they should have their physicals, signed by their doctor, in hand when the practices for football, volleyball, and cross country begin.
