James Daniel Cudahy

James D. Cudahy, 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Shell, Wyo., with loving family surrounding him.
Jim was born Oct. 18, 1942, in Grafton, Wis., to the late James W. Cudahy and Veronica L. Cudahy (nee Bintzler). Jim attended Grafton Public School through high school. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country.
In 1980, Jim moved to Wyoming where he later built his home in the community of Shell.
He loved hunting and fishing. For many years, he and his partner Ginny hosted family and friends for great hunting adventures. They also traveled and took many trips to Alaska, but mostly they enjoyed their home life at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. As a carpenter, Jim built log homes in Wyoming and Montana. He also took pride in building log furniture and lamps for family and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by the love of his life, Ginny J. Fairris; his loving parents, James W. Cudahy and Veronica (Fronie) Cudahy; beloved sister Veronica K. Cudahy and nephew Joel Cudahy.
Jim is survived by and will be continually missed by sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Stillwater Hospice, Greybull Senior Center, Washakie Medical Center and all of his caring friends who reached out and came to his aid.
A Celebration of Life in Wyoming will be held at Shell Hall, 201 Smith Ave., Shell, Wyo., on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A Celebration of Life in Wisconsin will be held at Saukville Gun Club, 4191 Blue Goose Rd., West Bend (Newburg), Wisconsin on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
