Marjorie Jean Weingart Gould Nett

July 19, 1934 - March 27, 2023

Marjorie Jean Weingart Gould Nett, 88, passed away in her sleep on March 27, 2023, beside her husband of 40 years at their residence in Pharr, Texas.

Margie was born July 19, 1934, to Henry and Minnie Weingart and was the fourth of 15 children. Marge had fond memories of when she was a kid living in the Ninepipe area. She graduated high school in 1952 at St. Ignatius and went on to marry Ben Gould, her husband of 28 years. Marge and Ben raised a daughter, Rita Rose. The family lived in Belgrade, Boisefords, Whitefish, Libby, Happy's Inn, Drummond, Hall and Mission, before settling in Charlo.

Marge worked as secretary for many years in school offices in Mission and Charlo. In 1982, Marge married Gene Nett and moved to Worden, Mont., and then Greybull, Wyo., where Gene taught and Marge provided daycare for the Nolan boys. After retirement, Marge and Gene took their fifth-wheel trailer and became snowbirds, adventuring around the country and visiting family and friends. While they were able, they always made the trip back to help with haying, canning, and other summer work in Montana.

No matter how far away they were, Marge never failed to send birthday cards, Christmas fudge, and a variety of other goodies to her loved ones. Grandma was affectionate and enthusiastic during her yearly visits home, generous with hugs, kisses, and smiles. She loved swimming and sunbathing, whether it was at Finley Point or South Padre Island.

Marge and Gene eventually settled in Harlingen, Texas where Marge kept busy crocheting, crafting, gardening, visiting with friends, and taking care of Gene. Their next move was to the Gardens at Brooks Ridge assisted living in Pharr, Texas, where Marjorie happily spent the rest of her life beside Gene.

Marjorie is survived by her husband Gene, daughter Rita, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 12 brothers and sisters, and the Nolans whom she loved as family.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ralph, and sister Ida.
