The Greybull High School speech team posted several strong performances at the Jackson Invitational last weekend to claim the second-place sweepstakes award in 1A/2A.
“The Jackson meet is a tough tournament because the long travel distance wears on everyone, and the tournament runs late into Friday night and starts again early Saturday morning. Our team managed to retain their energy and we had a shot at first place until the very end,” said coach Joel Kuper.
Tyler Searfoss has been steadily climbing the placement rungs in Congressional Debate all season, and he continued to do so with a third-place finish at the Jackson tournament.
“Tyler was ranked in the top few speakers every preliminary round. He continued to shine throughout the Super Congress round. This was his highest placing this season,” Kuper said.
