Letters of support sought for Orchard Bench project

Acting county engineer Matt Leonhardt told the Big Horn County commissioners on Feb. 6 that letters of support are needed for a grant that would help the county redo Orchard Bench Road.
Letters should come from landowners in that area. The letters should say the road needs repair and there are safety issues. One of those issues is a narrow bridge on the road at Antelope Creek. Letters of support should be sent to the county engineer office through email engineering@bighorncountywy.gov. They can also be dropped off.
Leonhardt gave an update on the road heaves on the Meeteetse Highway. He said the patches that were done after the road was cut for water lines are bad again. The chemical reaction between the water and sand are causing the issues.
