Grace Lutheran Church in Greybull will celebrate Ascension Day at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8.
“Technically, Ascension Day is Thursday,” says Pastor Jais H. Tinglund. “But it has always been practice in the Church of Christ to begin celebrating the great feasts on the evening before; just as we pretty much all are used to thinking that Christmas begins on Christmas Eve. At any rate, what is important, regardless of when we do it, is that we celebrate that Christ is at the right hand of God – which actually does not mean that He is far away from us, but rather that He lives with and in His Church and works salvation for His Christians.”
Prior to worship, a pizza dinner will be served at 6 pm. A free will offering will be taken. Everybody is welcome for dinner as well as for worship.
