The Tin Pan Orchestra furnished the music for a Democratic rally at the West Emblem school Monday evening.

Nov. 2, 1944

After being home on furlough for a few days visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bellamy, Pvt. Frank Bellamy is back in training again and is probably on his way to overseas duty.

Big Horn Theatre: Double Feature Friday and Saturday: “This is the Life,” with Donald O’Connor and Susan  Foster  plus “Timber Queen” with Richard Arlen and Mary Beth Hughes.

Oct. 28, 1954

Deputy Game Warden Colonel Noyes reported that 798 hunters checked through the lower Shell check station early this morning.

Oct. 29, 1964

Milton Miller, one of the most outstanding musicians to play in Greybull’s band, will go on a three-month tour of the Far East beginning Jan. 2.  The Greybull youth will be a member of the University of Denver’s prize-winning stage band on the tour.

50 Years Ago

Oct. 30, 1974

Miss Julie Werbelow, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Werbelow of Emblem, is the Greybull Standard’s Miss October. Julie is a senior at Greybull High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Myrle Rainey celebrated their silver wedding anniversary at a reception hosted by their sons-in-laws and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wright of Greybull and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Howe of Thermopolis.
