Former President Trump nothing more than bully
Dear editor:
Bullying is everywhere. We saw it at school when I was a kid and a teacher. The good news is that we have been working hard at changing this. We help bullies figure out why they bully and how to change. We work with the bullies to help them stand up for themselves. We teach the bystanders to take action, to help resolve bullying situations.
A bully, by definition, is a “blustering, mean or predatory person who, from a perceived position of relative power, intimidates, abuses, harasses or coerces people, especially those considered unlikely to defend themselves.”
I would consider myself a victim of bullying. Our former president, Donald Trump, is a bully. He was convicted of sexual assault, has a history of disparaging people of color, people with disabilities, women and LGBTQ persons and was charged with 90 felonies over four separate criminal cases. His bankruptcies have caused many citizens to lose their businesses.
A former aide of his said that he, behind closed doors, calls his supporters basement dwellers. He wants to be our authoritarian leader, but sorry Donald, this is a democracy.
