The Greybull High School speech team traveled over the mountain last weekend to capture a second-place finish in 1A/2A at the Big Horn Invitational.
Several Greybull students posted strong performances. Grainger Russell led the charge, breaking into finals in two of his three events to take first in Program Oral Interpretation and second in Humor. Tyler Searfoss also battled his way to finals in Congressional Debate and finished in seventh place.
“Grainger and Tyler have consistently been strong performers in their respective events. We can always count on them earning points for the team,” said coach Joel Kuper.
Illness hampered the team’s efforts last weekend, but Kuper said, “we had some of our newer team members come through and take up the slack… resulting in their first appearances on stage this season.”
