Nothing beats a small town

Good neighbors are a blessing - but when good neighbors have good gardens, and are more than willing to share them, it’s a double blessing.   Ate like a queen last week with fresh cucumbers, garden fresh green beans with lots of chopped bacon, simmered for a long time, and a fresh ear of corn, wrapped in a wet paper towel, and cooked in the microwave when everything else was ready - that included cucumbers and onion, icy cold covered with brine.
