Every March, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrates National Nutrition Month. First started in 1973, the Academy sets annual themes and mounts a public awareness campaign on public nutrition and wellness, and releases additional educational resources related to the year’s theme. For 2024, the Academy chose the theme Beyond the Table, describing its goals as addressing the farm-to-fork aspect of nutrition: from food production and distribution to navigating grocery stores and farmers markets to home food safety, preparation, and storage practices.
