With the end of the school year in sight, the Big Horn County School District No. 3 board of trustees dealt with a number of personnel items at its March 12 meeting.
Resignations were accepted from the custodian Debie Weidenhaft, elementary interventionist Helaina Landers, high school life skills teacher James Armel and elementary paraprofessional Mayra Jenness.
Landers and Armel will move into new roles next school year. Landers will be a fifth-grade teacher at GES while Armel will step into the special education classroom now led by Rob Nuttall, who is moving into the administrative role that will open with the retirement of Dee Robertson.
Other new hires included Daryl Shiplet, as a custodian, and Jennifer Furnell, who will drive a school bus and be a rotational employee helping where it’s needed most during the school day.
