Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire.
The first Shell Valley Women’s Coffee of 2024 will be held Thursday, Feb. 1, at the home of Karen Hayes, 1470 U.S. Highway 14, approximately one-half mile west of Shell. Watch for a bright green kid figure with an orange flag and a painted wood coffee sign on the right side of the highway at the Hayes’ driveway. Please enter the front door and go up the stairs to the great room. There is limited parking and a ramp available at the back of the house for those with mobility needs, so please carpool to park there. The coffee begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends around 11 a.m. Be sure to invite a friend or neighbor to join you and enjoy the opportunity to relax and catch up with everyone after the holidays.
