Students set sail, star in ‘Treasure Island’

Missoula Children’s Theater (MCT) spent the last week in Greybull, preparing local students for a production of Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island,” as adapted for the stage by Jim Caron. It played for a two shows on Saturday, Jan. 27.
“This year’s performance was phenomenal!” enthused Wendi Jenness, the program organizer and school librarian at GES. “The MCT Team [is] great to work with as they guide students into roles and allow them to experience a positive week of theatrical growth.  Our audiences were also really full and we appreciated the community support. 
“MCT engages students in a positive experience and gives them an excellent opportunity to try theater.  Along with the drama club and music programs at GES, it is one of the foundations for the strong theater program in our community.”
