The Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation, in partnership with the Wyoming Office of Tourism, has launched Mindtrip, an AI-powered trip-planning resource, on both state agencies’ websites, now serving as your go-to resource for planning your next outdoor adventure. 

When Grant Gardner, 38, of Minnesota went missing in the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area last summer, Big Horn County Search and Rescue was the first to respond. The organization, composed entirely of volunteers, put in an estimated 1,023 man hours searching Cloud Peak for Gardner, with additional help from volunteer pilots and assistance from Sheridan, Johnson, Washakie, Park and Teton counties and other organizations.

After cancelling their fourth annual Winter Arts Gala in January, Big Horn County Arts Guild announced Feb. 11 that they would enter a sunset period until their Sept. 1 annual meeting due to declining participation and a need for redirection. 

On Tuesday, March 17, the University of Wyoming Extension Sheep Task Force will host a free webinar about managing flock health around lambing season. The webinar, which is the first of two episodes, will discuss strategies for mitigating ewe and lamb stress from late gestation through docking.
